WINNER SELECTION/VERIFICATION: All entries will be grouped based on the information provided by the Entrant so that the Sponsor may randomly select three (3) winners from the Western Grand Division of the State of Tennessee, three (3) winners from the Eastern Grand Division of the State of Tennessee and four (4) winners from the Middle Grand Division of the State of Tennessee. The winners will be drawn on January 2, 2019. The winner(s) will be notified by phone and/or e-mail, and, if required by the Sponsor, must confirm the winner’s Contest eligibility by submitting documentation acceptable to the Sponsor to confirm that the winner is a Tennessee resident, resides in the Grand Division won, is at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time the Entrant enters the Contest, and that the account will be established for an Eligible Child. An Eligible Child is any child who is fifteen (15) years old or younger during the Contest Period. If a selected winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, he or she will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be randomly selected and notified according to the procedures outlined above. The odds of winning the Contest depend on the number of eligible entries received in each Grand Division. The Entrants selected as the winners must acknowledge acceptance of the Prize by email response or by phone within two (2) weeks of the notification acknowledging he/she has been selected as the winner of the Prize. Failure to acknowledge acceptance within the specified timeframe will result in forfeiture of the Prize. After acknowledgement of acceptance of the Prize is received from the winning Entrant, he or she will receive instructions and an enrollment form to establish the TNStars® account as well as a media release form to be completed on behalf of the Eligible Child by a parent or legal guardian.
PRIZES / APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV): One thousand dollar Prizes will be awarded to ten (10) different winners: three (3) winners from the Western Grand Division of the State of Tennessee, three (3) winners from the Eastern Grand Division of the State of Tennessee and four (4) winners from the Middle Grand Division of the State of Tennessee. The Prize will be in the form of a contribution to a TNStars® account established by the respective winning Entrants for an Eligible Child, who will be the beneficiary on the TNStars® scholarship account. The contribution will be invested in the Age-based investment option appropriate for the named beneficiary’s age.
GENERAL PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: The Prize winner will be responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, applicable to acceptance and use of the Prize, including income taxes, if any, and may be required to provide his/her Social Security Number or Federal Taxpayer Identification Number for tax reporting purposes. These exceptions would be solely determined by the Sponsor. Any and all costs associated with acceptance and use of the Prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner.
The Prize contribution will be in a restricted TNStars® scholarship account that will only contain the Prize contribution and will be separate from the Eligible Child’s/beneficiary’s TNStars® account if an account has been established.
